COB Seminar – Narrowing the gap between theory and practice

In April 2024, College of Business UEH (COB) continues to hold a series of quarterly seminars with the desire to create opportunities to exchange, share new research as well as practical experience between international scholars and lecturers and students.

On the side of the College of Business: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Thanh Trang – Associate Rector, Dr. Dinh Thi Thu Hong – Vice President, Dr. Nguyen Tan Trung – Head, Administration office and along with lecturers and students.

Seminar "Modern research trends in economic and business psychology

College of Business organized a seminar with the topic "Modern research trends in economic and business psychology" with the participation of Dr. Vladimir Ernest Jolidon, Mr. Tran Quang Anh Minh and Mr. Nguyen Nhat Huy Hoang. With expertise teaching and researching psychology, the speaker shared with lecturers the impact of psychology and sociology, as well as the impact of mindfulness (unidimensional scale), positive psychological and emotional health, as well as behavioral economics, and discussed some behavioral economic assumptions...

Seminar "Communicating with influence"

In addition, Colleges of Business UEH invited Dr. Geraldine Kennett, Deputy Dean of Academic Partnerships - School of Business, La Trobe University (Australia), to co-organized a seminars "Communicating with influence" for COB students.

Through a variety of activities, Dr. Geraldine Kennett shared the theoretical basis for students to understand how to communicate in different social styles, identify and adjust their own behavior, and build effective relationships with people with different personalities.

The seminars were a success, thanks to a concise presentation and a positive academic exchange atmosphere. College of Business intends to hold seminars on a monthly basis in order to bridge the gap between theory and practice, as well as to provide chances for multidimensional sharing and exchange among instructors, students, and the network.
