On September 29, 2026, as part of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) course taught by Assoc. Prof. Do Thi Hai Ninh, UEH students participated in the Odoo Education Workshop, featuring training and hands-on practice with Odoo’s CRM software. The workshop was led by Mr. To Ton Thanh, Director of Education Programs, Odoo Vietnam and the Region, giving students the opportunity to gain direct experience with a CRM tool in a learning environment closely connected to real-world business practices.
From case analysis to hands-on practice with software, the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) course at UEH provides students with opportunities to connect management knowledge with practical experience in technology applications.
A key highlight of the session was the opportunity for students to work directly with the software, practice under the detailed guidance of an industry expert, and gain a clear understanding of the CRM process through each step. Mr. Thanh guided students in using the system’s functions while explaining the connection between software operations and customer relationship management processes. This helped students better understand how CRM activities are implemented through software and how technology supports businesses in managing customer relationships.

By performing the tasks themselves, students were able to move beyond understanding concepts to applying them in practice. The knowledge covered in class was translated into specific steps within the system, allowing students to follow the workflow and understand how different stages are connected. The hands-on experience, together with Mr. Thanh’s direct guidance, served as a bridge for students to apply CRM knowledge in practical settings.
The training session was also part of the learning experience in the Glocal classroom, bringing together Vietnamese students and students from Taiwan and Germany. This multicultural learning environment provided opportunities for students to exchange perspectives on customers, businesses, and relationship-building across different market contexts.

Throughout the course, case-based learning was employed to help students analyze problems, discuss alternatives, and propose solutions. The hands-on session with Odoo added another important dimension, allowing students to experience how tasks are implemented using a specific digital tool and thereby connect analytical thinking with practical execution.
The combination of case-based learning, multicultural exchange, and hands-on software practice with an industry partner reflects the Glocal spirit of connecting global perspectives with local realities in the classroom at UEH. Students were able to broaden their perspectives while becoming familiar with processes and tools that can be applied in the workplace.
Following the training session, students received an Odoo Certificate of Attendance, recognizing their participation in the Odoo Education Workshop. Through this activity, students had the opportunity to gain practical exposure to a CRM tool, strengthen their professional knowledge, and gradually develop their ability to apply technology in management.
The activity also contributes to UEH’s commitment to practice-oriented education, where students are not only equipped with knowledge in the classroom but also given opportunities to directly experience tools, processes, and operational practices in a business context. Such experiences enable students to proactively connect their academic knowledge with real-world requirements and better prepare for the workplace.
