On 27 July 2026, College of Business - UEH held a reception and working session with a delegation from University of East London (UEL), United Kingdom. The meeting was an occasion for the two sides to exchange views on development orientations and to reach agreement on the contents for implementing cooperation in the fields of training, research, and the internationalization of higher education.
On the part of the UEH College of Business, the session was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen - Rector of College of Business; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Phuong Vy- Vice Dean of School of Finance; Dr. Le Vu Ngoc Thanh - Head of the Auditing Course Group, School of Accounting; Dr. Pham Thi Ngoc Bich - Director of the Auditing Program, School of Accounting; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Minh Vu - Director of the Securities Market Program, School of Banking; Dr. Tran Tam Anh - Lecturer of the School of Tourism; together with Mr. Huynh Duc - Department of Global Research, Development and Engagement.
On the part of University of East London, the delegation comprised Professor Shampa Roy-Mukherjee - Vice Dean, Royal Docks School of Business and Law, and Dr. Chau Duong - Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance, Programme Leader for the MSc Professional Accounting.

Opening the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen delivered a welcome address to the delegation and introduced the development orientations of the UEH College of Business within the strategy of building the UEH International Academic Ecosystem. In this regard, UEH emphasized the objective of strengthening connections with international partners, promoting faculty and student exchange, interdisciplinary research, and the development of academic programs of a global nature. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen also respectfully invited scholars of University of East London to attend the International Conference on Business Sustainability (ICBS 2026) with a view to enhancing academic exchange and expanding the network of research cooperation.

Representing University of East London, Professor Shampa Roy-Mukherjee introduced University's internationalization orientations and, at the same time, proposed numerous cooperation opportunities such as student exchange, DBA programs, online training and blended learning, short courses, co-development of course modules, scientific research, and enterprise consulting projects. In particular, she also shared the Practice Space model - a space connecting enterprises, lecturers, and students to jointly solve practical problems through consulting and innovation projects.
During the discussion, representatives of the units under College of Business shared their experience in implementing training and internationalization programs and, at the same time, proposed a number of specific directions for cooperation. The contents exchanged focused on developing faculty and student exchange programs, building learning programs combined with practical experience, expanding international internship opportunities, implementing Micro-Credential programs, cooperating in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Financial Technology (FinTech), co-teaching, scientific research, the organization of academic conferences, and the development of postgraduate training programs.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of the two institutions jointly took part in the UEH 50th Anniversary Flag Presentation Ceremony, as a symbol of friendship and of the expectation for a sustainable cooperative relationship between the two universities in the future. Subsequently, representatives of College of Business - UEH and University of East London presented commemorative gifts, expressing mutual respect and goodwill for cooperation between the two sides.

The working session concluded with a commemorative photograph of all attending delegates.
Through this meeting, College of Business - UEH and University of East London strengthened their mutual understanding and, at the same time, laid the foundation for more extensive exchanges in the time ahead. The orientations shared at the working session are expected to open up many practical cooperation opportunities in training, research, and internationalization, contributing to the expansion of UEH's global partner network.

4th ASEAN+ Summer Camp 2026: A Journey of Learning, Discovery, and Connection for UEH Students in Malaysia
Continuing its efforts to expand learning opportunities and provide students with meaningful international experiences, the College of Business – University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (COB – UEH) continued its participation in the ASEAN+ Summer Camp 2026, the fourth edition of the academic and cultural exchange program for students across the region. Held from July 26 to August 1, 2026, and hosted by Universiti Malaya (University of Malaya), Malaysia, this year’s program was organized under the theme “Empowering ASEAN Youth: Innovation, Sustainability and the Future of Regional Economy,” providing students with opportunities to explore the knowledge, perspectives, and capabilities needed to navigate the rapid changes shaping the region and the world.
UEH Students Experience an International Learning Journey at Taiwan Summer University 2026
As part of its ongoing efforts to expand international learning opportunities and provide students with meaningful global experiences, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continues to facilitate students’ participation in academic and cultural exchange programs with international partner universities. From July 27 to August 2, 2026, Vietnamese students, including students from UEH, participated in the Taiwan Summer University Program in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The program was organized by National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan, and Parami University, Myanmar, and hosted by NSYSU.
ICBS 2026 Pre-Conference Workshop: Publishing in Tourism Review and Avoiding Desk Rejections
As part of the International Conference on Business Sustainability (ICBS 2026), UEH College of Business will host a Pre-Conference Workshop featuring Professor Dimitrios Buhalis, Editor-in-Chief of Tourism Review. The workshop will provide practical insights into publishing in high-quality international journals, avoiding desk rejection, and understanding editors’ expectations during the peer-review process.
