UEH College of Business Signs Partnership Agreement with the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, Expanding Its Global Partnership Network

As part of its ongoing efforts to expand international partnerships and strengthen education and research in line with its internationalization strategy, the UEH College of Business (COB) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia on the morning of July 22, 2026, at Campus B, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia.

Representing the UEH College of Business were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Nhat Hanh, Acting Vice Dean of the School of Management, and Dr. Diep Quoc Bao, Vice Dean of the School of Management and faculty member.

Representing FEB, Universitas Airlangga, were Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, together with members of the faculty leadership and academic staff.

Speaking on behalf of the UEH College of Business, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Nhat Hanh described the partnership with FEB–Universitas Airlangga as an important milestone in the College's strategy to expand its international network. She expressed confidence that the collaboration would create greater opportunities for faculty members and students to engage in academic exchange, joint research, and international capacity building, while contributing to the enhancement of educational quality and the academic reputation of both institutions.

During the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono emphasized that establishing a partnership with the UEH College of Business would open up new opportunities for collaborative research, academic exchange, and the development of internationally oriented educational programs. He also expressed his expectation that both institutions would leverage their respective strengths to develop meaningful collaborative initiatives, contributing to the advancement of higher education across the ASEAN region.

Under the MoU, the two institutions will collaborate in several key areas, including student exchange; faculty and staff exchange; co-organization of academic conferences and seminars; joint research projects; curriculum and teaching material development; community engagement activities; internship programs; faculty and teaching assistant development; and the promotion of visiting professor programs. The agreement establishes a solid foundation for long-term and sustainable collaboration between the two institutions.

Notably, the relationship between the UEH College of Business and the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga did not begin with the signing ceremony. It has already been strengthened through a range of practical collaborative activities. Over the past years, the two institutions have jointly implemented student exchange initiatives, providing UEH students with opportunities to participate in academic and intercultural activities at Universitas Airlangga. In particular, during the Summer 2026 Program, many UEH students took part in academic and cultural immersion activities in Indonesia, broadening their global perspectives, enhancing intercultural competencies, and developing essential global skills. These successful collaborations have laid a strong foundation for expanding future exchange programs and deeper institutional cooperation.

As part of the working visit, representatives of the UEH College of Business and the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga also participated in the UEH Flag Journey. This symbolic activity marked a new milestone in the partnership between the two institutions while promoting the UEH brand throughout its journey of internationalization and global partnership expansion. The event is part of the UEH Flag Journey series celebrating the 50th anniversary of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), reflecting UEH's commitment to strengthening international academic collaboration, expanding partnerships with prestigious institutions worldwide, and reinforcing its position as a multidisciplinary, sustainable, and globally connected university.

Looking ahead, the UEH College of Business and FEB–Universitas Airlangga will continue to implement the provisions of the MoU through academic exchange programs, collaborative research projects, international curriculum development, and innovative educational initiatives. Both institutions expect this partnership to serve as a platform for impactful collaborative projects that will enhance their global standing while fostering stronger academic connections between Vietnam and Indonesia.

4th ASEAN+ Summer Camp 2026: A Journey of Learning, Discovery, and Connection for UEH Students in Malaysia

Continuing its efforts to expand learning opportunities and provide students with meaningful international experiences, the College of Business – University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (COB – UEH) continued its participation in the ASEAN+ Summer Camp 2026, the fourth edition of the academic and cultural exchange program for students across the region. Held from July 26 to August 1, 2026, and hosted by Universiti Malaya (University of Malaya), Malaysia, this year’s program was organized under the theme “Empowering ASEAN Youth: Innovation, Sustainability and the Future of Regional Economy,” providing students with opportunities to explore the knowledge, perspectives, and capabilities needed to navigate the rapid changes shaping the region and the world.

UEH Students Experience an International Learning Journey at Taiwan Summer University 2026

As part of its ongoing efforts to expand international learning opportunities and provide students with meaningful global experiences, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continues to facilitate students’ participation in academic and cultural exchange programs with international partner universities. From July 27 to August 2, 2026, Vietnamese students, including students from UEH, participated in the Taiwan Summer University Program in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The program was organized by National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan, and Parami University, Myanmar, and hosted by NSYSU.

ICBS 2026 Pre-Conference Workshop: Publishing in Tourism Review and Avoiding Desk Rejections

As part of the International Conference on Business Sustainability (ICBS 2026), UEH College of Business will host a Pre-Conference Workshop featuring Professor Dimitrios Buhalis, Editor-in-Chief of Tourism Review. The workshop will provide practical insights into publishing in high-quality international journals, avoiding desk rejection, and understanding editors’ expectations during the peer-review process.
