- To be in charge of disseminating the regulations of Ministry of Education and Training and UEH University’s rules related to the work of boarding students.

- To carry out registration procedures for temporary residence for boarding students with the police agency (ward, district) or guide students to complete the procedures for temporary residence registration in accordance with the current law regulations.

- To be in charge of collecting students’ boarding records, to review and to sign/resign contracts with boarding students. To arrange accommodation for boarding students for the right subjects in accordance with the actual size of the dormitory.

- To be in charge of the management of boarding students. To organize and to manage dormitories in accordance with the current regulations. To make a diagram of the rooms and make a logbook for boarding students in accordance with the prescribed form, to update the change in boarding students’ accommodation fully and timely.

- To proposing models and plans for dormitory management in the direction of civilization and modernity. To launch campaigns among boarding students to build a civilized, modern and friendly dormitory.

- To assign personnel to be on duty at the dormitory 24/24 hours a day to promptly handle incidents that occur. To check the implementation of rules by students in the dormitory regularly and to handle violations .

- To organize self-governing activities of students to promote the active role, personal responsibility and to respect the boarding students’ collectivism; to coordinate in organizing the assessment of training results for boarding students.

- To assign specific tasks to managers and self-administered teams in the work of ensuring security and order, to prevent crime and social evils in the boarding area, to create a healthy living and educational environment for dormitory students. To organize propaganda, education and guidance for students to ensure security and order, to prevent illegal drug use, HIV/AIDS and other social evils.

- To organize dialogues between the UEH Board of Dormitory Management and the representative of boarding students periodically in order to promptly detect and to propose to resolve the legitimate aspirations of boarding students.

- To develop emulation criteria among floors and rooms in the dormitory in terms of ensuring security, order, environmental sanitation and beauty in the dormitory rooms.

- To build information channels of UEH Board of Dormitory Management to capture the thoughts, feelings and needs of boarding students in order to provide support activities in serving the needs regarding learning, scientific research, training, healthy recreational needs for boarding students.

- To organize self-study rooms, reading books, newspapers, cultural and artistic activities in order to serve boarding students, especially creating favorable conditions for the activities of the Union and clubs/teams/groups in UEH dormitory.

- To be in charge of surveying boarding students’ satisfaction regarding all aspects to improve and perfect solutions to serve boarding students most effectively and promptly.

- To be in charge of contacting, hiring services to ensure clean, beautiful, civilized and friendly dormitory.

- To develop specific regulations on service activities for student service task in UEH dormitory.

- To plan, to coordinate in implementing fire prevention and fighting, to inspect equipment and fire prevention and fighting work in District 8 Dormitory and facilities in regularly.

- To organize the management, operation, and assurance of security, safety, environmental sanitation and landscape at District 8 Campus.

- To handle and to propose how to solve cases of students violating regulations directly; to reward and to propose to reward students with outstanding achievements in the management, protection, maintenance of security, order and environmental sanitation in the dormitory directly.

- To ensure smooth technical operation (electricity, water, elevator, internet, security camera and so on) for the whole dormitory system. To manage all assets in UEH dormitory. Every year, to coordinate with UEH Department of Facilities to make a plan for periodical inspection, asset inventory, and to upgrade, to repair and to refurbish infrastructure works, works serving boarding students’ daily life and other equipment in the dormitory timely.

- To coordinate with UEH Department of Finance - Accounting to perform the task of collecting dormitory fees and additional services on unified financial management software well. To urge and remind boarding students to fulfill their financial obligations to UEH University promptly. To perform other services assigned by UEH Board of Managers.

- To coordinate with UEH Department of Information Technology to develop and to use the “Boarding Student Transaction Gate” effectively, to build dormitory management software, to maintain and to exploit UEH website, fanpage, and information channels for boarding students as well as information-technology-related activities at UEH dormitory effectively.

- To coordinate with UEH Medical Center to assign medical staff on duty to perform first aid in a timely manner for boarding students and to organize environmental sanitation, disease prevention and control in the dormitory. To spray medicine to prevent epidemics in the inpatient area periodically. Once any signs of disease is detected, these must be immediately reported to local health authorities to apply handling measures timely.

- To coordinate with UEH-related units to organize contests, seminars, and career skills for boarding students regularly. To coordinate with UEH Alumni in contacting former UEH students/learners who used to stay at the dormitory to facilitate support for boarding students listed as scholarships, part-time jobs, professional sponsorship and specialized activities.

- To work closely with local authorities stationed at all locations managed by UEH Board of Dormitory Management to implement measures effectively in order to protect political security, order and safety and to organize student participation in cultural-beautiful activities and volunteering activities for the local community.

- To propose and to plan towards organizing, developing and diversifying UEH University’s souvenir products in order to provide and to promote the products having UEH University’s brand name to all UEH officials, employees, learners and the whole society.

- To manage human resources, facilities and assigned means and equipment effectively.

- To perform other tasks assigned by UEH President.
