5. Course Objectives:

The “Capstone Project” is a compulsory course within the Banking major curriculum, offering students the opportunity to gain practical experience and apply acquired knowledge to professional tasks. The core content of the course emphasizes the provision of highly applicable knowledge regarding the practical operations of banks, financial institutions, and enterprises. Through the processes of analyzing and evaluating real-world situations, students are required to identify problems to be addressed, conduct in-depth analysis, and develop creative solutions along with implementation plans. In addition, the course fosters continuous improvement in students’ professional competencies, including problem analysis, case study evaluation, report writing, and the preparation of a graduation thesis or project.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The Capstone Project course focuses on analyzing practical issues and challenges that banks, financial institutions, and enterprises need to address and improve. Students may select topics oriented toward identifying and resolving problems within a specific institution, thereby supporting the successful implementation of their graduation thesis or project. Alternatively, they may choose specialized topics related to contemporary issues in the field of Finance and Banking, such as enhancing credit appraisal processes, product design, bank management, personal financial planning, big data analysis, investment projects, or research into the behavior of depositors, borrowers, and investors.

The structure of the Capstone Project is designed as follows:

An overview of the institution (bank, financial institution, or enterprise where the student is undertaking an internship or is currently employed).

Analysis of the institution’s current situation.

Identification of manifestations of the research problem.

Data collection and data analysis.

Identification of practical difficulties and challenges.
