5. Course Objectives:

The course aims to provide students with knowledge in the field of finance and banking, enabling them to apply their in-depth knowledge and skills to identify and solve problems. The report's content is diverse and flexibly adapted to the practical operations of banks, other financial intermediaries, and finance departments of businesses in the context of Industry 4.0. Students will gain access to and learn from the practical experiences of experts. The seminar series focuses on real-world problems in the finance and banking sector, such as project financing, personal financial advisory services, investment fund management, digital technology development in financial institutions, big data processing in Fintech companies and financial institutions, etc. The learning outcomes are demonstrated through a summary report prepared by the students. In addition to acquiring knowledge, students also hone their analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making skills related to banking management and operations in the world in general and Vietnam in particular.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This course focuses on analyzing macroeconomic issues and banking operations in the context of the modern global economy. Following this, the course aims to analyze critical and urgent topics requiring improvement and addressing existing difficulties and obstacles, specifically: the legal framework, banking technology, governance, corporate financial management, financial investment, and other issues related to the Finance and Banking sector. Applying these issues to the context of Vietnamese commercial banks, the course assesses the practical situation of the Vietnamese commercial banking system in the modern global economic environment. Therefore, students will be able to access the business environment, keenly identify and address issues affecting operational risks in commercial banks.
