5. Course Objectives:

The objective of the Applied Data Science course is to introduce learners to the most basic issues of data science - the science of studying methods for extracting useful information and knowledge from data - and its application in a number of socio-economic fields.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The Applied Data Science course is designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in exploring, analyzing, and applying data in the context of the digital transformation. The course focuses on data visualization and the development of predictive models using supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods. Learners will gain hands-on experience with widely used statistical programming languages and software tools applied to real-world datasets, thereby strengthening their ability to select appropriate techniques, conduct analyses, and interpret results. In addition to equipping students with skills in handling and exploiting diverse data sources, the course emphasizes the development of critical thinking, evaluative capacity, and evidence-based decision-making.
