6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This course introduces the method of quantitative research for public policy. Particularly, the course provides instructions on popular techniques to quantitatively analyze data such as linear regression, logit and probit models, and impact evaluation using methods such as Propensity Score Matching and Difference in Difference. Besides, the course also illustrates how to explore and exploit various sources of survey data frequently used in public policy analysis. The techniques discussed during the course will be coupled by real-life examples.
Participants after completing the course gain the knowledge and skills to be able to carry out quantitative analysis for public policy. Mastering the techniques introduced in the course strengthens the participants’ capacities in evidence-based policy practice.
