5. Course Objectives:

Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) explores how strategic thinking can be applied to Human Resource Management. This module aims to provide learners with the opportunity to synthesize strategic management issues with HRM processes, in a considered and critical manner. The module focuses on how strategies can be formulated and enacted within organizations, and on the internal and external environmental contexts in which HR strategies emerge. The module also addresses a range of contemporary issues in human resource management in the context of new and evolving people management practices. Throughout this course, learners will explore questions such as: How can individuals manage and enhance organizational performance? How can we integrate stakeholder concerns into organizational decisions and strategies? How can strategic thinking support HRM activities? What are the barriers to strategic thinking in organizations? What does it mean to be an HR professional?

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Of all the tasks of management, managing people is the central and most important task because all other issues depend on the success of humance resource. If you do not know how to command, select, assign, evaluate, reward, motivate, and train, coach, and develop subordinates, you will never be able to even have excellent professional capacity to become a good administrator.

The course of strategic human resources is interested in developing advanced human resource management practice skills to motivate and stimulate employees, themselves and their subordinates; and skills in analyzing and conducting research on human resource management in organizations/enterprises.
