To be successful in the future, managers must develop the resources and capabilities of the organization needed to achieve sustainable competitive advantages in the current globalization context. The way organizations develop to achieve competitive advantage is the core of the strategic management process. This course will introduce the concept of strategic management through classroom lectures, reading materials, discussions and analysis of strategic situations in enterprises. The course will help students develop skills in analyzing and identifying opportunities and threats from the global business environment, mastering analytical methods to see strengths and weaknesses, especially discovering and identifying resources and capabilities that help businesses achieve core competitive advantages, thereby being able to develop and select strategies at all levels of the business in a systematic and effective way to help businesses achieve sustainable success in the globalization context. Knowledge from this course will also contribute to consolidating students' knowledge acquired from subjects such as marketing, operations management, human resource management, financial management, and corporate social responsibility.
