5. Course Objectives:

This course explores the various business development approaches available to managers to drive growth and change in their companies, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. The objective of the course is to develop a comprehensive framework for implementing M&A, from initiation to implementation. Specifically, the concepts and valuation techniques and criteria used in real-life M&A cases are applied and the challenges in any M&A transaction are considered to increase the chances of success. Therefore, after completing this course, learners can apply their knowledge and skills to their future work, especially in today's changing economic context.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) can provide significant opportunities for value creation, but they can also be a cause of value erosion. While some companies may strengthen their position among competitors and achieve growth and profitability through M&A, others may experience disastrous results. This course provides an opportunity to analyze the fundamental mechanisms that create or destroy value in M&A transactions from a strategic perspective. The following issues will be addressed in this course:

• Internal and external forces driving companies to merge or acquire

• Value-creating strategies related to M&A

• Capturing value through valuation, negotiation, and making appropriate internal decisions

• Post-acquisition integration to ensure that the potential for value creation is realized
