This course provides an introductory overview of the nature of the relationship between economic activity, policy and the environment. It introduces economic concepts and tools (and related policy dimensions). Standard market economic approaches to natural resources and policy are reviewed together with an introductory consideration of other economy-related approaches to environmental problem-solving and policy.
