5. Course Objectives:

The Business Data Analysis course equips students with the ability to analyze and evaluate methods for data collection, processing, analysis, and visualization in business. Students will apply and integrate advanced data analysis models, including regression, clustering, and machine learning, to solve business problems in fields such as finance, marketing, and supply chain management. Students will develop and practice skills in using data analysis tools to process big data, generate in-depth reports, and systematically present analytical results. Additionally, the course emphasizes leadership and teamwork, enabling students to facilitate group discussions, debates, and presentations to support data-driven decision-making. Furthermore, students will learn to evaluate and optimize data analysis models to enhance business performance, as well as propose and design innovative strategic solutions based on data insights. The course also emphasizes professional ethics, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance with information security principles in business.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Business Data Analysis is the process by which companies, non-profit organizations, and state-owned enterprises utilize data to gain insights into problems and make better decisions. It is applied across organizational operations, marketing, finance, and strategic planning across departments.

This course enables students to identify, evaluate, and leverage business data analysis opportunities to generate value for enterprises. It introduces fundamental data analysis methods, including using data to enhance predictive capabilities through machine learning, data mining, and other forecasting techniques.

Additionally, the course covers optimization methods to support decision-making under conditions of multiple choices and limited resources.

This course builds on prior subjects such as Applied Business Statistics and Management and is closely related to Marketing Management, Organizational Behavior, and Human Resource Management.
