5. Course Objectives:

Human Resource Management (HRM) is one of the important functions in business administration. This subject provides basic knowledge and skills in human resource management in general and global companies in particular. Its main content covers many important activities in the HRM cycle including HRM strategy, recruitment and selection, human resource management, employee performance management and evaluation, human resource training and development, income planning and management, welfare management and HR services provided to employees and labor relations, etc. The content is presented in combination with vivid real-life situations in the management process of MNCs in Vietnam.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This course provides advanced knowledge and skills in human resource management and leadership in global companies in general. This course will not delve into the technical details of human resource management, but instead this course provides students with perspectives and methods to solve human resource topics from a strategic perspective from the leadership level. The course helps students develop an understanding of core strategies related to human resource management practices in multinational companies: Talent Selection; Training and Development; Planning and Managing the Income System; Performance Management; Retaining Talent... At the same time, the course also helps students learn how leading multinational companies solve problems related to multinational human resource management, concerns about global mobility of human resources, thereby students are aware of the challenges from the global business environment for international business companies. In addition to international human resource management, the course also introduces students to basic approaches to leadership theory and some practical applications.
