Basic understanding of business ethics:
● Provide students with knowledge of basic concepts and theories in the field of business ethics.
● Introduce ethical principles and standards in business.
• Awareness of corporate social responsibility (CSR):
● Help students understand the importance of social responsibility in business operations.
● Analyze and evaluate CSR strategies and their impacts on the community and the environment.
• Understanding sustainable development:
● Introduce the concept of sustainable development and factors related to economy, society and environment.
● Study sustainable development policies and strategies in businesses.
• Integrating ethics and sustainability into business strategy:
● Guide students on how to integrate ethical and sustainability factors into business strategies and operations.
● Discuss real-life cases and lessons learned from successful businesses implementing ethics and sustainability.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This course is part of the basic knowledge system of the commercial business sector. This is an elective course. This course focuses on researching and discussing the ethical responsibilities of managers, public agencies, and businesses in their business activities. The course will provide learners with knowledge related to the responsibilities and ethics of businesses in their business activities as well as help learners explore practical issues in business activities related to complex conflicts and dilemmas in business activities. In addition, the course also provides learners with general knowledge about the concept of sustainable development, the causes of unsustainable development, and the need for international cooperation to ensure the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Thereby, learners are able to analyze, evaluate, orient and propose solutions to solve unsustainable development problems in Vietnam and internationally. The course will help learners have good awareness and positive attitude to protect the environment and develop socio-economy in the direction of sustainable development.
