This course is designed to help students acquire fundamental knowledge of intellectual property management and exploitation, including types of intellectual property, intellectual property rights, processes for managing intellectual property in business operations, particularly in research and development activities, and methods for managing and commercializing intellectual property.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

In the knowledge economy, intellectual property has become an increasingly significant asset for companies, especially in technology firms. By 2020, intellectual property accounted for over 80% of the total value of enterprises listed in the S&P 500 index. Intellectual property management has become an essential task for all businesses.
This course provides students with fundamental concepts and knowledge about types of intellectual property, intellectual property rights, and processes for managing intellectual property in business activities, particularly in research and development. It also covers the formation of intellectual property, methods of establishing and protecting intellectual property rights, strategies for managing, developing, and commercializing intellectual property, and financial aspects of intellectual property. Students will gain the knowledge and tools necessary to operate an effective intellectual property management and development system.
