TThis course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the structure, strategies, and risks of international banking in a globalized financial environment. Students will explore the evolution of global banks, international credit mechanisms, derivative instruments, and cross-border risk management. The course also examines systemic crises, sovereign debt issues, emerging market dynamics, and challenges such as financial fraud and corruption. Through case studies and discussions, students will develop critical perspectives on the strategic positioning and regulatory challenges facing international banks today.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This course focuses on the research papers about competitiveness of international banks in the international financial market. In addition, this course also focuses on legal and policy issues related to international banking activities as well as the impact of factors on changes in the financial structure and management strategies of international banks in case studies.

The course is mainly focused on the competitive performance of global banking industry in the global financial market. Moreover, the course also emphasizes regulatory issues impacting internal banking activities and main factors driving changes in the financial structure and governance strategies of international banks during recent years.
