This module aims to help students analyze and identify the current state and emerging issues within organizations. By leveraging their acquired knowledge, scientific theories, research methodologies, and practical experience from the MBA program, students will develop a project proposal to formulate comprehensive solutions for addressing these issues effectively, along with a structured implementation plan. The module is conducted in groups, and students can use the outcomes of this module as a foundation for their individual master's thesis. The faculty advisor for the thesis is not necessarily required to continue supervising students on the same topic or research methodology used in this major assignment.
The module is structured into five main components. First, theoretical concepts and practical exercises help students develop proficiency in analyzing and diagnosing organizational challenges and determining the root cause of key issues. Second, students explore and synthesize relevant scientific theories and theoretical models to identify the causes of the core issue established earlier. These activities enhance their ability to apply research findings to real-world problem-solving. Third, theoretical content and practical exercises focus on research methods used to assess the current state of the core issue and its underlying causes. Fourth, students conduct structured analyses using theoretical frameworks and appropriate research methods (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods) to accurately evaluate the organization's problem. Finally, students formulate comprehensive solutions to resolve the core issue, including a detailed execution plan to implement these solutions effectively.
