This course provides a holistic approach to help students understand and demonstrate how supply chain can be managed synergistically to the benefit of the organization.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Supply Chain Management in Marketing is an integration between marketing and supply chain management. This course provides a holistic approach to help students understand and demonstrate how these two disciplines can be managed synergistically to the benefit of the organization. 

Supply Chain Management in Marketing will explore important supply chain metrics, primary tradeoffs in making supply chain decisions, and basic tools for effective and efficient supply chain management, production planning and inventory control, order fulfillment and supply chain coordination. The course will also investigate topics such as global supply chain design, logistics, and outsourcing, several other recent supply chain innovations.

By taking a strategic perspective, the course will focus on relatively long-term decisions involving the configuration of processes, product designs, investment in productive resources, and development of partnerships with suppliers and channels of distribution.
