6. Brief Description of Course Content:
The financial market has become more complex over the years and regulating it was brought to the spotlight after the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. Furthermore, the introduction of new technology has brought drastic changes to the way the financial market operates, leading to more issues for the authorities to address toward ensuring an efficient and stable financial system. This course introduces the basic elements and structures of the financial system, the principles and regulatory framework behind it, as well as the challenges it currently faces.
