5. Course Objectives:
The Fixed-Income Securities course is designed for master students of the Applied Finance Program, School of Finance, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. This course provides students with knowledge associated with fixed-income securities, helping students be able to value fixed-income securities prices, identify associated risks as well as build up hedging strategies when investing in fixed-income securities. The course also prepares students with professional skills such as computational skills and problem solving to help students develop their careers better in the future.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This course covers knowledge relating to fixed income assets, especially bonds and bond features. This course also refers to issues related to the risk and return of bonds, and bond valuation methods, considering the effect of additional embedded provisions.
