Data analytics in business is applied in organizational operations, marketing, finance, and strategic planning across departments. This course will help students identify, evaluate, and seize business data analysis opportunities to create value for businesses. The course also provides basic data analysis methods, such as using data to develop predictive abilities through machine learning, data mining and other predictive methods. In addition, the course introduces optimization methods to support decision-making in conditions of multiple choices and limited business resources. This subject is related to previous subjects, such as statistics applied in business and management, as well as parallel or legacy subjects, such as marketing management, organizational behaviour, and human resource management.
