6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The subject "Research Methods" provides fundamental knowledge and scientific methods in applied research, especially in the field of smart and innovative urban management. The subject guides students on how to identify research problems, design research, collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, as well as present and publish research results effectively. With a practical application orientation, the subject not only equips theory but also integrates practical exercises, group discussions and guides the skills of using research support tools such as Microsoft Office, AI, reference management software and data analysis software such as SPSS, Atlas.ti. In addition, the subject also helps students understand ethical principles in research, avoid plagiarism and ensure copyright in scientific publications. Through this course, students can develop research ideas into feasible outlines for graduation theses, scientific articles, or research proposals for smart urban projects. The course is interdisciplinary, directly complementing courses on urban management, urban planning, smart technology and sustainable development policy, while creating a solid foundation for students to conduct scientific research in related fields.
