This course provides advanced training in urban simulation and modeling, focusing on the use of AnyLogic software to analyze and optimize complex urban systems. Students will explore key simulation paradigms, including agent-based modeling, system dynamics, and discrete event simulation, to address challenges in transportation, energy management, waste systems, and land use. Through hands-on projects, students will develop data-driven models incorporating real-world inputs, such as GIS data, to evaluate policy scenarios and support sustainable urban planning. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to design and implement simulation models that inform decision-making in smart city development and urban management.
