Demonstrate an understanding of the role of project management and how projects link to corporate strategic planning and strategic management
Apply knowledge and techniques on project planning.
Apply knowledge on project risk assessment and management.
Demonstrate knowledge on project progress controlling and monitoring
Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of project completion and closure procedures.
Explain and apply the principles of managing project teams and resolving team conflicts.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This unit introduces learners to basic knowledge and develops skills in project analysis, organization, planning (scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation) and control. The unit also trains learners in understanding and using project management software applications: Microsoft Project, and Excel; and improves learners’ managerial skills in management issues through case studies and group discussions
