5. Course Objectives:

- Recognize the key role of human resources and human resource management in organizations operating in the context of a competitive and rapidly changing business environment. - Grasp basic knowledge of job analysis and design, employee selection and training, employee performance evaluation and salary system management,... in the organization. - Apply strategic thinking to develop job analysis skills, select and train employees, and evaluate employee capabilities. - Know how to build human resource policies, human resource strategies and human resource planning for the organization. - Develop appropriate theoretical models of human resource strategies. - Develop teamwork skills, presentation skills and critical thinking skills.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

"People are the most important asset of an enterprise." This statement can be found in any annual report of a CEO's speech. Most managers agree that effective human resource management is important in creating organizational effectiveness and achieving long-term and sustainable competitive advantage. This course helps learners understand how human resource policies contribute to business performance. This knowledge can be applied in small, medium and large enterprises, as well as in non-profit or government organizations.

Particularly, this course will approach human resource management from a strategic perspective. Learners will have access to topics of human resource strategy, human resource planning, talent recruitment, training and development, talent retention, performance management, and compensation system. In addition, the course helps learners develop additional knowledge related to the processes leading to strategic innovation as well as the ability to apply this knowledge in business activities to gain a competitive advantage.
