5. Course Objectives:

The CSR and Strategic Management module provides students with knowledge of research related to CSR and Strategic Management. Students will be introduced to the development process of strategic management theory, the theoretical foundations that form the field of strategic management, including: strategy formulation and implementation, sustainable competitive advantage, dynamic capabilities, and international business strategy. Through the literature review process, students can actively identify research methods and foundational theories used in strategic management. Thereby, they can proactively identify new research trends in strategic management. In addition, the module also provides students with knowledge of CSR. This includes the formation and development of CSR theory, as well as different approaches to CSR. Key research directions in CSR will be introduced, such as: corporate governance, green innovation, sustainable development, and the relationship between CSR and corporate performance. Particularly, the module will introduce the integration of CSR and strategic management, thereby clarifying the current research trend focusing on corporate sustainable development strategies.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

After completing the module, the gPhD student will be able to:

  • Proactively conduct a literature review on topics related to CSR and strategic management.
  • Critically evaluate research in the fields of CSR and strategic management.
  • Propose research directions in CSR and strategic management that ensure both scientific and practical relevance.
