5. Course Objectives:

The objective of this course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage and promote innovation in businesses. The course will help students master the basic concepts, models and processes of innovation management, thereby understanding how to manage and develop innovative ideas in businesses. Analysis and development of innovation strategies: Students will learn how to analyze the factors that promote innovation, identify opportunities, and choose the right innovation strategy for the organization, and develop innovation strategies in the business. Students will be equipped with the skills to plan, organize and implement innovation projects in businesses, as well as the ability to think creatively to design products that suit the needs of customers and the resources of the company.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The course aims to provide students with basic concepts and awareness in  innovation management and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities that small and large firms face in relation to this. The course has an integrated approach to tackling the complex concepts in and knowledge about technological innovation in relation to technological development. The course covers areas such as the importance of innovation, leadership in research and development, management of innovation and technology, partnerships, networks and alliances, product and process development, commercialization of research as well as entrepreneurship and business sustainable creation.
