The main objective of this course is to introduce the background of Game Theory. Students can apply it in modeling different classes of problems in economics and finance, such as problems in auction theory, problems of portfolio management, etc.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
Game theory is the mathematical modeling of strategic interaction among rational (and irrational) agents. The course will provide the basics: representing games and strategies, the extensive form, Bayesian games repeated and stochastic games,... Teacher will introduce a variety of examples including classic games and a few applications.
