5. Course Objectives:

This course is designed to equip students with fundamental and advanced knowledge of statistical methods, which supports analysis and applications in areas such as random sampling, sampling distributions, and statistical inference. The knowledge gained from this course serves as a foundation for subjects like Econometrics and stochastic Processes and plays a crucial role in various practical applications. Additionally, the course enables students to proficiently solve problems in mathematical statistics, from applying theoretical concepts to utilizing tools such as Excel, R, or other statistical software. At the same time, students will develop adaptability and the ability to update their knowledge based on the solid foundation provided.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This course is aimed at rigorous development of the mathematical foundations of statistical inference. It covers probability distributions, approximation, convergences of random variables and samples. It provides the estimation and properties of estimators. Student can construct interval estimates and hypothesis testing. Student learn how to analyse a real data by using modern computer softwares.
