5. Course Objectives:

The subject of Dialectical Materialism (DIM) is an important part of the philosophy education system, helping students understand and apply the basic principles of Marxist-Leninist philosophy. The main objectives of this subject are: To master the basic principles and categories of dialectical materialism such as: matter, consciousness, the relationship between matter and consciousness, the basic laws of the development of nature, society and thinking; To understand dialectics, especially the basic laws of dialectics such as: the law of unity and struggle of opposites, the law of transformation from quantitative changes to qualitative changes and vice versa, the law of negation of negation. To develop dialectical thinking skills: The ability to analyze, synthesize and evaluate phenomena and events in nature, society and thinking in a comprehensive and profound way based on the principles of DIM; Skills to apply the laws and categories of dialectical materialism to solve practical problems, make correct and effective decisions. Application in practice: Understand the relationship between theory and practice, know how to apply the theory of dialectical materialism to analyze and solve specific problems in life, work and scientific research; Develop critical thinking, the ability to perceive and evaluate problems from many perspectives, avoid one-sided and one-sided views. Develop personality and ethics: Foster a dialectical materialist worldview and dialectical methodology for students, contributing to the formation of personality, revolutionary ethics and patriotism, love of socialism; Develop creative thinking, self-study spirit, self-research and the ability to apply knowledge to practice. Improve scientific research capacity: Equip students with scientific methodology, helping them to conduct independent, systematic and highly effective scientific research; Ability to write and present scientific reports, theses, and dissertations logically, clearly, and convincingly based on the theoretical foundation of dialectical materialism; Through studying and researching dialectical materialism, students not only grasp the basic and necessary knowledge of Marxist-Leninist philosophy, but also develop dialectical thinking, the ability to apply theory to practice, and improve scientific research capacity, contributing to the cause of national construction and development.

Course of Philosophy - Dialectical Materialism is compulsory for students majoring in political economy. The course provides learners with in-depth knowledge of the Marxist-Leninist worldview and methodology. From there, learners have a scientific basis (dialectical materialistic worldview and dialectical materialistic methodology) to recognize and solve economic, political and social problems in the country and in the world. .

The Philosophy module - Dialectical Materialism has a close relationship with the Marxist-Leninist Philosophy module (mass university program): on the basis of the foundation knowledge of the Marxist-Le Philosophy module. nin (mass university program), the module goes into deeper and more systematic, detailed and profound analysis of the worldview, methodology, and cognitive theory of Marxism-Leninism.

The Philosophy - Dialectical Materialism is also closely related to the History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh Thought and Marxist-Leninist Political Economy: the contents, the Points in the above modules provide materials showing the creative and effective application of dialectical materialistic worldview, dialectical materialistic methodology in revolutionary practice.
