5. Course Objectives:

The first objective of the CNDVL course is to provide students with basic knowledge of the principles and basic laws of historical materialism. Specifically, students will learn: -The concept of historical materialism and its differences from other philosophical schools. -The law of the relationship between infrastructure and superstructure in society. -Economic and social forms from primitive to modern and their laws of development. -The role of economic, political, cultural and ideological factors in the development of society. -Training dialectical thinking and scientific methodology -The second objective is to train students in the ability to think dialectically and use scientific methodology in researching and analyzing social issues. Specifically, students will: -Learn how to apply dialectical materialism methodology to the analysis of social phenomena. -Developing the ability to think systematically, logically and critically. -Practicing the skills of synthesizing, evaluating and solving complex social problems based on scientific and practical foundations. Applying theory to social practice An important goal of the subject of Dialectical Materialism is to help students know how to apply theoretical knowledge to social practice. This includes: -Analyzing and evaluating policies and guidelines of the Party and State of Vietnam based on the theoretical foundation of historical materialism. -Identifying and solving practical social problems by applying the laws and principles of Dialectical Materialism. -Proposing practical solutions to economic, political and social problems based on the dialectical materialist perspective. Raising political awareness and social responsibility The ultimate goal is to raise students' political awareness and social responsibility. Specifically: - Help students understand their role in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. - Develop patriotism, sense of civic responsibility and spirit of dedication to society. - Build correct awareness of contemporary political and social issues and the role of the working class and the Communist Party in the development of the country.

Course Philosophy - Historical Materialism is compulsory for students majoring in political economy. The course provides learners with in-depth knowledge of the worldview and historical materialistic methodology of Marxism-Leninism. From there, learners have a scientific basis (worldview and historical materialistic methodology) to recognize and solve economic, political and social problems in the country and in the world.

The Philosophy module - Historical materialism is closely related to the Marxist-Leninist Philosophy module (mass university program): on the basis of the foundation knowledge of the Marxist-Leninist Philosophy module nin (mass university program), the module goes into depth into the systematic, detailed and profound analysis of Marxist-Leninism's worldview, methodology, and cognitive theory.

The Philosophy - Historical Materialism is also closely related to the History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh Thought and Marxist-Leninist Political Economy: the contents, the Points in the above modules provide materials showing the creative and effective application of dialectical materialistic worldview, dialectical materialistic methodology in revolutionary practice.

In particular, the Philosophy Module - Historical Materialism is closely related to the Philosophical Module - Dialectic Materialism. It is based on the basis of the dialectical materialistic worldview and the materialistic dialectical worldview that forms the worldview and historical materialistic methodology.
