5. Course Objectives:

The course Corporate Valuation is designed to provide learners with specialized fundamental knowledge related to approaches of valuing a business as well as applying economic, financial knowledge in general and valuation in particular to determine the value of a business for different purposes in real life.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The course Corporate Valuation is designed for learners of specialization stage, Bachelor degree of the School of Finance, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. 

This course will help learners explore the fundamental knowledge of business valuation and apply it in valuing a real life company, including public and private enterprises. Specifically, learners will be equipped with knowledge such as fundamental knowledge of business valuation; Standards and premises of value; Financial analysis for valuation purpose; the Cost of capital; Principles, methods and processes of company valuation of different common valuation approaches such as Income Approach; Market-based Approach; and Asset-based Approach). In addition, this subject also helps learners develop the skills of searching, collecting and analyzing necessary information to be able to complete their valuation tasks.
