5. Course Objectives:

The course will build on cross-curricular academic skills, by integrating inquiry-based learning and business tools that will enable students to analyze, create, develop and pilot small businesses. Concepts and skills are reinforced by a strong emphasis on hands-on experiences. Applications to society, individuals, and the utilization of technology are included. The Entrepreneurship course is designed to equip students with the core principles of entrepreneurship, as well as the fundamental concepts and tools needed to start and operate a business as an owner, founder, or franchisee. The course content combines theoretical foundations with practical approaches, making it easily accessible to students while connecting knowledge to contemporary issues and the real-world challenges of entrepreneurship in today's socio-economic context. This specialised course emphasises the importance of career guidance for students from the very beginning of their university education. Developing a passion for entrepreneurship, self-awareness, and self-assessment are considered crucial conditions for pursuing and realising future career goals. Based on this, the course focuses on raising awareness, inspiring, and fostering entrepreneurial intentions, while also guiding students to develop entrepreneurial roles alongside other professional positions, such as specialists, managers, or policymakers, within their fields of training. This is why the course is offered to students from various disciplines.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Starting a business is the process of initiating a project by establishing a company in accordance with the provisions of the Enterprise Law. Therefore, learners need to be equipped with sufficient knowledge, skills, and appropriate attitudes to minimise risks and enhance the chances of success. Core competencies include general business knowledge, industry knowledge, the ability to identify target customers, evaluate business models, and analyse the business environment. In addition, skills in identifying opportunities, building networks, teamwork, and innovation play a crucial supporting role. Finally, a willingness to accept risks and self-confidence are fundamental to helping entrepreneurs proactively engage, adapt, and overcome challenges in business development.
To equip future entrepreneurs with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes, this course covers fundamental issues including: (1) Overview of business entrepreneurship; (2) The relationship between creativity, innovation, and business entrepreneurship; (3) Identifying business opportunities; (4) Business models; (5) Intellectual property law, business franchising; (6) Ethics and social responsibility of entrepreneurs.
