This module equips students with the communication skills they need for academic purposes and prepares them for future career opportunities. Students practice listening and speaking strategies to be able to communicate appropriately in a variety of situations. Students can understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, express personal opinions flexibly and fluently, and at the same time develop skills such as reasoning, analysis, synthesis, problem solving, personalization, test-taking, teamwork, critical thinking and foreign language learning skills. Various activities will also provide students with the opportunity to develop language aspects including grammar, sentence structure, vocabulary, pronunciation, and intonation structure.
