The course aims to help learners consolidate academic writing skills and styles, which lay a strong foundation for research writing. In particular, students will learn how to use appropriate citation and referencing to avoid plagiarism, and strengthen practical skills of Academic Writing such as presenting arguments, analyzing data, critically responding to a text, and describing a complex process.
In addition, students will be provided with numerous learning activities in which they will develop critical thinking strategies such as categorizing, selecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information. Through writing extracts and samples, students also have the opportunity to further expand their knowledge related to a wide range of topics, including Behavior, Sustainability, Patterns, Responsibility, Data, Variations, Observation, and Research.
