5. Course Objectives:

The undergraduate Corporate Finance course provides students with fundamental knowledge related to financial management decision-making in different types of businesses, especially public joint-stock companies. The course content addresses the nature of three important financial decisions: investment decisions, financing decisions, and decisions related to working capital management and short-term debt. This course also emphasizes essential skills for financial managers and investors such as financial analysis using accounting reports, understanding the nature of debt and long-term financing sources, various dividend policies and corporate value, short-term financial planning, etc. After completing this course, students will grasp basic and modern knowledge to pursue advanced courses in finance or higher education levels in the future.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The content of this course addresses the three important financial decisions of a business: capital budgeting decisions, financing decisions, and decisions related to working capital management. This course is one of the foundational courses in the finance and banking major, meaning it is taught after students have completed their general knowledge courses and before they receive specialised training. Therefore, this course is very important for students to be able to study other finance subjects in depth within the training program.
