This course is designed to equip students with the knowledge of how to conduct research in finance, write a research proposal, analyze literature reviews, and develop interesting research questions. Learners can then apply different quantitative analysis and regression techniques at a basic level to test the proposed research hypotheses and examine possible relationships among variables in the fields of corporate finance, international finance, financial investment, and more. In addition, students will also be able to use historical data to forecast trends of important financial variables in the future, which today have many important real-world applications. This course also introduces students to several popular computer software programs such as Stata, R-studio, and others, which are widely used by financial analysts and academic researchers to handle econometric financial models in both academic research and their future professional work.
