- Understand basic knowledge of transportation and cargo insurance in the context of logistics and global supply chains
- Find out information about shipping costs and how to calculate shipping costs and insurance fees
- Understand transportation and insurance business processes
- Apply subject-specific knowledge to analyze theoretical models, and solve situations for real-life logistics and supply chain business models
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This subject helps students expand their specialized logistics knowledge about transporting goods in the supply chain and apply it to perform transport operations and insurance for goods during transport.
The course content focuses on two parts
Part 1: Logistics transportation
The content includes general knowledge about logistics transportation by sea, air, container, and multimodal transportation methods.
Part 2: Insurance of transported goods
Includes basic concepts of insurance and professional knowledge of cargo insurance during transportation related to insurance terms, insurance contracts, insurance premiums and inspection and compensation loss of goods
