With the strong development and rapid change of technology as well as new requirements from the development trends of the economy, learners are required to have appropriate adaptations to the new situation. Technological innovation in the supply chain helps improve efficiency and enhance the competitiveness of businesses and meet customer needs in the supply chain. Technological innovation focuses on the following issues: increasing operational efficiency, improving forecasting and planning capabilities, optimizing the supply chain, improving quality and transparency, minimizing costs, enhancing customer experience, and enhancing the ability to respond flexibly to changes in the environment and society.

The course Technology and Innovation in Supply Chain Management is concerned with establishing, managing and improving technology systems in supply chains at the global level. The content of this course emphasizes on giving reasons why the application of technology and innovation in supply chains is important, especially with the increasing complexity of information flows in the near future. This is considered a key activity for both large multinational companies as well as small businesses. The course also shows how to design a supply chain information system that meets the requirements of the three basic things (economic, social and environmental) in the future.
