5. Course Objectives:
The course "ICAEW_Management Accounting 2 (ICAEW CFAB - Management Information)" develops students' ability to analyze and utilize financial information to support business management, with a focus on performance evaluation and managerial decision-making. Upon completion, students will be able to design and evaluate an effective performance management system, select appropriate performance measures, and analyze variances between actual performance and established standards or budgets. Students will also be capable of assessing the benefits, risks, and characteristics of various management information approaches, as well as identifying and calculating relevant data to make accurate and effective management decisions. The course emphasizes practical application, equipping students with strategic decision-making skills to excel in business environments.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This course allows students to prepare the necessary financial information for managing a business, focusing on performance management and management information operations; and managerial decision-making. After completing this course, students will be able to:
• Identify the key characteristics of an effective performance management system, select appropriate performance measures, calculate variances between actual performance and standards or budgets; and identify the key characteristics, risks, and benefits of a range of approaches to management information operations;
• Identify and calculate relevant data for use in managerial decision-making.
