5. Course Objectives:

Provide foundational knowledge of corporate finance to meet the requirements of the actuarial science program accreditation by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) in the United States. This knowledge plays a crucial role in advanced corporate finance courses as well as other courses within the finance and banking field.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The corporate finance course is scpecially designed for actuary programs which aims to provide the foundation and advanced knowledges of corporate finance to meet the accreditation requirements of the Actuarial Science association to be a member of the Society of Actuaries - United States (SOA). Upon a completion of this course, students can grasp the basic and modern knowledge of corporate finance, the combination of the three important financial decisions on investment, financing and dividend payout for different forms of business. This is the course prequisites for advanced corporate finance as well as other subjects in Actuarial Science program.
