5. Course Objectives:

The goal of this course is to equip students with the fundamental principles of actuarial mathematics (the course will cover roughly half of the topics in the Society of Actuaries (SOA) syllabus for the LTAM course). Students will be able to apply the techniques learned here to tackle complex problems in the long-term portion of the FAM exam for the international actuarial profession (Society of Actuaries – SOA). In addition, the course helps each student gain deeper insights into the actuarial (insurance pricing) profession and understand the personal, long-term commitment required to work in organizations related to actuarial practice.

Long-term Actuarial Mathematics 2 is designed to provide students with knowledge about the theoretical basis of contingent payment models and the application of those models to insurance and risk fields. finance.
