This is a compulsory course for all programs under the School of Economics. It provides students with the essential knowledge and skills required to conduct scientific research in the field of economics. The course covers the fundamental steps of the research process, from identifying a research topic, formulating research objectives and questions, to conducting a literature review, selecting research models and hypotheses, collecting and analyzing data, developing a research proposal, and presenting research findings.
Students will be introduced to foundational concepts of scientific research, methods for selecting appropriate research topics, formulating research objectives, and developing research questions. The course also guides students on how to search for, evaluate, and cite academic literature to build a theoretical foundation for their research. Additionally, students will learn how to choose research models, construct hypotheses, collect data, apply sampling techniques, and select appropriate data analysis methods.
Furthermore, the course equips students with knowledge on structuring research proposals and presenting research findings in a logical, scientific, and persuasive manner. This course enhances students' research thinking, improves their analytical and synthesis skills, and enables them to apply research methods in practice, supporting their thesis work or advanced research in the field of economics.
