5. Course Objectives:
The course ""Principles of Architectural Design"" will focus on creating a general understanding of Architecture and Architectural Design from a theoretical perspective. This course aims to provide students with the basic knowledge, analytical thinking and techniques to develop a vocabulary of aesthetic, environmental and social principles in which architecture is a strong subject. Students will also be provided with knowledge of the basic rules and regulations of architectural design in an urban context.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
The course "Theories of architecture design" will focus on creating a general understanding about Architecture and Design from a theoretical perspective. The course aims to furnish students with a set of questions, techniques and tools to develop a strong design vocabulary, how and by what means to communicate their design and to understand the philosophy and the undercurrents of the design process. In addition, the “Theories of architecture design” give students a foundation understanding of design rule, laws and guidelines that they can use throughout their education and career pursuits.
