5. Course Objectives:

This module is designed to assist students in cultivating essential language skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary for their tertiary studies. Students will explore business-related content to enhance both their language proficiency and their ability to communicate effectively within the various academic contexts of the business field. They will participate in a variety of learning activities, including case studies, role-plays, simulations, presentations, and group discussions, to foster their learning.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The module includes an overview of the program and key content units. The first unit, "Career Choices," focuses on developing vocabulary related to transferable skills, helping students better understand the concepts and prepare for their future careers. Next, the units "Business Sectors" and "Global Markets" enhance students' understanding of business fields and global markets through specialized vocabulary and skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The units "Design and Innovation" and "Customer Service" focus on technological innovation and customer service, supporting students in developing practical skills such as responding to customer feedback and writing various types of professional emails. Finally, the "Communication" unit helps students practice effective communication skills in a business environment, including writing short reports and role-playing in communication scenarios. The module integrates practical learning activities, mid-term assessments, and speaking skill tests to help students consolidate and apply the knowledge they have acquired.
