5. Course Objectives:
The subject equips students with knowledge about databases, entity-relational models and relational data models, helping to solve storage problems. Students learn how to design, build and manage databases, and program data processing to ensure integrity, synchronization and security. In addition, students will develop teamwork skills and a sense of responsibility in data processing.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This module provides students with knowledge pieces for data management and mining and data analysis and design of data systems for information systems. From the above knowledge, students can build an appropriate data management and mining solution according to the real needs of an organization or business. The module content is divided into the following sections:
- Basic theoretical concept of databases
- Data model design analysis skills section (entity model, relational model)
- Skills section on managing (exploiting, creating...) databases through a database management system.
