5. Course Objectives:
"The course on Comparative Law provides students with knowledge of legal systems around the world, helping them develop the skills to analyze and compare different legal systems. Upon completing the course, students will be able to:
Master the concepts, roles, and functions of comparative law, and understand the characteristics of major legal systems such as Civil Law, Common Law, Islamic Law, Socialist Law, and Japanese Law.
Analyze and evaluate the similarities and differences between legal systems, applying comparative methods to address specific legal issues.
Enhance independent research skills on foreign legal systems, useful for legal consulting, legislative work, and legal research.
Develop an expanded mindset and the ability to compare legal models, thereby forming a multidimensional view of law in different cultural contexts.
Foster autonomy in legal research, share viewpoints and research findings with colleagues and instructors, and gain confidence and independence in studying foreign law."
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
With this subject, students will be equipped with the knowledge of comparative jurisprudence, history, purpose and role of comparative jurisprudence; object of comparative jurisprudence: Legal systems of the world; Continental European legal system; British American legal system; Islamic legal system and other specific legal systems.
