5. Course Objectives:

" The course provides students with knowledge about conflicts of laws and methods of resolving disputes with foreign elements, including the jurisdiction of Vietnamese courts and the principles of selecting applicable law in areas such as contracts, property ownership, marriage and family, inheritance, and non-contractual damages. Students will understand the procedures for recognizing and enforcing foreign court judgments and arbitration awards in Vietnam. The course also develops skills in analyzing legal situations, teamwork, and communication in the field of international justice. Students will enhance their ability to advise and resolve disputes while complying with the law in civil relations with foreign elements."

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

The subject of Private International Law includes three main content: (1) Legal provisions on jurisdiction of national courts for civil cases with foreign elements (2) Legal provisions on the principles of choosing applicable laws in the areas of ownership, contract, family marriage, inheritance, compensation for non-contractual damage involving foreign elements (3) Regulations on recognition and enforcement in Vietnam of foreign court judgments and decisions
